Want to make a moving avatar? Well, Sincostan is here to help!
Step 1.)
Go on a search engine and search "animated wolf base". I prefer deviantART, but if you go there make sure you can use it on websites outside of dA!
We'll use this one:
raven-morticia.deviantart.com/art/Line-wolf-run-gif-104914108
Click Download on the right side of the screen, and when a new tab/window opens up right click and save it to where ever
*Note: If a new tab or window doesn't open up, it will probably open up in the tab you are in.
Step 2.)
You will need a coloring program to do this. I prefer you use GIMP or Photo shop. Photo shop you need to buy but GIMP is free. So, if you have GIMP open up your image when it starts up.
*Note: www.gimp.org
When you open up your frames, it should look like this:
Now, take the Wand Tool and click the large white area.
1.)Go up to Select>Invert
2.)Edit>Copy
3.)File>Create>From Clipboard
Your new image should look like this:
Now, do the same things to get rid of the white spaces between the legs of some of the frames.
Like, here:
Your new image should now look like this:
Now, it's time to color!
1.) Create a new layer by going up to Layer>New Layer>Transparency
2.) Go to your layer panel and set the mode to "Multiply"
3.) Choose a color and scribble in the whole layer
*Note: When you scribble, it won't scribble over the lines or in the open areas because it is transparent. It's like coloring a pose!
We'll use Sincostan's plushie, Sweetheart, we'll bring her to life I guess!
*Note: Use your own character! Sweetheart (c) Sincostan
Your screen should look like this if my tutorial is working for you, and understandable:
Step 3.)
Now it's time to put our little Wolfy together! Let's start!
Click on the layer you just colored on and merge it down with the lines.
Take the box tool and make a box around your first frame.
Go up to Edit> Copy
Then go to File>Create>From Clipboard
Your screen should now look like this:
Make a new folder and save it there. Let's name ours "Sweetheart Run1.png"
You should do this with all of your frames. Do that now!
*Note: It goes left to right
When you saved all the frames to your folder, it should look like this:
Now, go to Iaza ( www.iaza.com ) and upload your FIRST FRAME!
There should be a button down by "Mix" that says "Frame Animation"
Click on that
Now, you should have a screen where you can click on different slots and a browse button by them. Where the second on is(across from image 1) you should insert your second frame, on the third you insert your third frame, etc.
It should look like this:
Now, if you scroll down, you should be able to select your own speed and loops.
Click on speed 1/10 seconds and do Infinite loops. You may choose to auto resize it or not.
Lastly, you click on your running wolf and watch it go!
You can right click this and save it to your folder and it will still run if you upload it to what ever. I prefer it's uploaded to Photo bucket and not Tiny pic because Tiny pic pictures expire eventually.
Anyways, this is how your little Wolfy should turn out.
REMEMBER TO LINK YOUR AVATAR BACK TO THE CREATOR OF THE BASE!
Questions, comments, concerns, praises? Feel free to reply here!
I'd love to see how yours turned out, by linking it back here would be appreciated.
Have fun!
